The Cause

Run for Hope is on a mission to turn racial division, class segregation, and spiritual poverty into community, possibility, and hope.

With every dollar raised, the course of a child’s future is changed forever through the work of New Hope Academy.  Are you ready to be Run for Hope?

The School That Sparked A Cultural Movement

Dramatic cultural transformation may start small—with children and a school—but that is only the beginning.  New Hope Academy is a school on a mission to set people free.  Black, white, rich, or poor, we are limited by our prejudices, our fears, and our lack of resources.  And we all have them.

New Hope provides a radical opportunity for relationships to form across racial, economic, and cultural lines within the community—thereby assisting the poor, bringing people together, and cultivating racial reconciliation.

New Hope Academy is a remarkable and inspiring place, one that provides an academically rigorous and Gospel-centered education to children who come from varying economic conditions. New Hope offers an excellent education to children from low-income families, creating a ripple effect of hope and opportunity far beyond its walls.

Our Mission

New Hope Academy is a Christ-centered community school with an economically, racially, and culturally diverse student body.  We exist to serve low-income families by establishing a solid Biblical worldview, instilling vision, confirming hope, and preparing each young person for a life of service.

Our History

New Hope Academy opened its doors in 1996 when a Williamson County church became the catalyst for lasting change in the low-income neighborhoods of Middle Tennessee.  Here, elementary school children and families of all races, economic brackets, and cultures learn, love, and work together in an environment that extends acceptance, hope, and an exceptional faith-based education to every child.  To that end, New Hope Academy reserves 40-50 percent of its seats for low-income children.

We are a community of hope.

We believe that changing our culture begins with understanding and that understanding takes place in genuine relationships.  Separately, we remain impoverished and naive—the poor and affluent alike.  Together, we become stronger and enlightened, challenging each other and lifting one another to a Christ-centered life.

We are a community of vision.

We believe in building the bridges of brotherhood in our community and in our nation.  We step forward to do our part in dismantling the economic, cultural and racial walls that keep many people from excelling as citizens of this country and as children of the King.

We are a community of faith

We are true believers called to shine the light of Christ into the darkest corners of despair illuminating every heart and mind with a new vision—a new hope.  For additional information about New Hope Academy, click here.
